Becca's PledgePage

Hello my dear friends,

I recently returned from a trip to Singapore where I performed with my choir in a pair of concerts designed to raise funds for an organization there called Boys' Town. Part orphanage, part halfway house for boys who have had trouble with the law, I was struck by how wonderfully giving and loving the children I met there were despite their diverse and challenging backgrounds. I was very proud to have been able to raise so much money for the organization's work to continue.

When I returned to the US, I thought perhaps there was a similar contribution I could make here in my community. No sooner had I wondered that than a friend approached me to help raise funds for a youth hockey league. The Pasadena Maple Leafs (don't ask me why but it actually is Leafs not Leaves) was established in 1964 and is a volunteer nonprofit organization. They provide sports scholarships which provide equipment for young boys of limited means who would not otherwise be able to play.
